Description:
This training is a quick overview of the components that are necessary to be included in an Industrial or Multi-Sector General Permit SWPPP. It covers the major elements of the SWPPP and site map for developing a plan that meets most permit requirements.
This is an overview of the requirements and is not meant to completely identify what "compliance" means to your facility based on your state or federal permit. We do not cover sector specific criteria nor will all elements discussed apply to all permitted facilities across the US.
What You Will Learn/Learning Objectives:
This course covers the components of an industrial SWPPP:
- Fundamental components of an industrial SWPPP
- Narrative requirements
- BMP and facility descriptions
- Recordkeeping and reporting
Prerequisites: None, but some familiarity with the ISGP or MSGP is a benefit.
Permit Language or Requirements
Every permitted industrial site is required to have a SWPPP.
