Description:

Whether performing inspections on private property or municipal operations, PSCIC SM (Professional Source Control Inspector Certification) provides the proper tools, reporting methods and approach to achieve and demonstrate change in an IDDE or Source Control program.



This certification prepares an inspector to identify tools and practices in fulfilling a municipal IDDE or Source Control Program, identify pollution generating sources across different activities, and provide following up an BMP solutions for different types of practices.



This course includes in-field inspections of actual properties covering different business practices you are likely to encounter as an inspector. Once enrolled, you will become part of a community of peers to exchange ideas and information.

Prerequisites: A working knowledge of MS4 permit requirements and language used in those permits. Course WUS0106 (MS4 Permit Overview) is recommended to understand the structure and components that make up an MS4 program.

Course Expectations:

 

This course is completed over several weeks, with one chapter being released to the Learner each week. The weekly section includes an exercise, quiz, or other homework which must be completed prior to moving on to the next week.


Upon completion of the course, Learners must pass the final exam (70% or above) to receive certification which is valid for three (3) years.

Gregor serves as the Water Quality Manager for WSDOT statewide Maintenance and Operations. Gregor manages environmental compliance for highway maintenance activities including stormwater, in-water work, and drainage maintenance programs. He has worked with WSDOT since 1998.

Brenda is the Manager of One.7, Inc. She has been selling sweeper services and many different brands of sweeper equipment since 2005.

Kemp Garcia

Kemp works with Linescape of Washington. He is dedicated to the utility locating industry. From 2009-2011, he was on a panel to help revise RCW 19.122 "Dig Law".

He is still active as a member of the WA State Dig Law Safety Committee and also volunteers as leadership for NUCA of Washington.

Cary Winters

Cary is a Sales Manager for UltraTech International. He provides training and expertise in spill containment and other BMPs.
