This course provides and overview of considerations that may be necessary in developing an MS4 Source Control Program. Defining a source control program, determining who the inspector needs to talk to, considerations for conducting an interview, and recordkeeping considerations are all covered in this course.
This course identifies the basics such as tools necessary to complete the inspections, what to look for in an inspection and the importance of recordkeeping and follow up.
In many jurisdictions Source Control programs are synonymous with IDDE programs, however, the Source Control program is meant to be preventative where IDDE is often responsive in nature.
This course identifies foundational considerations of how to develop a Source Control program.

In states such as Washington, this is an isolated element of the SWMP that is in addition to and in cooperation with other MS4 programs such as IDDE and PO&E.

Nathan has nearly 25 years of experience in the environmental and stormwater consulting field with an emphasis on best management practices (BMPs), services and management related to industrial, construction, municipal and commercial stormwater programs.
